The cat who thinks he’s a dog

Last september we said goodbye to our beloved dog, Blaze. That walk into the vet clinic is one of the hardest walks a responsible pet owner will ever make. When we walked in that time, there was a large crate with a gorgeous orange tabby, with a sign “free to a good home.”

We brought Oscar home the same day - as it was very clear that he wanted to come home with me. He made himself at home the very first day - sprawled out in the middle of the living room floor.

Oscar is very friendly, and thinks that anyone walking in the door is his pal. He is also very social - crooning to the other kitties in the nieghborhood. We have trained him to some extent. He’s waiting at the door for you when you get home. And the most telling factor is that he has to circle three times before laying down.

Yes, my cat thinks he’s a dog. Now if only we could get him to fetch!
